  Horrible management. The workers are EXTREMELY RUDE. I was told the list was open to the public by workers in my apt office (which is thru kcdc). They sent our fliers to our doors and all. I applied and waited on the list for months. I was accepted and called in for my interview. I didnt even get past the front desk and the lady denied me after 6 months of anticipating recieving assistance because they said we were not a 'disabled family' because my son is not over the age of 18, which makes absolutely No sense! My son is disabled but im the one on a fixed income. I have to report my income and info to get their assistance so why would that not apply here when this is also a government organization? I tried to get an explanation only to get attitude and treated like I was nothing. The lady was so rude and mean to me that I cried in the car. Once again they have said the list was opening to the public only for it to really be for disabled and homeless people. Im tired of the process of thinking we are eligible but we arent. Its a complete waste of time. The need new management AND new workers. If you can't work well with people day in and out without having a horrible attitude you DO NOT NEED TO DO SOCIAL WORK.

  As the other person stated. Extremely rude front desk associate. I also got denied because I couldn't prove my homelessness through a religious institution. I'm an atheist. I took EXTREME offense that I was being denied assistance through a GOVERNMENT FUNDED PROGRAM because I am not apart of a RELIGIOUS INSTITUTION to vouch for my current housing status. Apparently living on a family member's couch, not on a lease (potentially could have my family members evicted because I'm staying there), never clearing $18,000 a year in income, isn't enough; but if I was apart of a church I could. Ridiculous! I've never felt more discriminated in my life.

  everyone is rude and i understand that they may deal with some disrespectful people at times, but for me to kind and respectful, they sure dont care about you. like they label you differently just because your on section 8.
